Daisy Edgar-Jones talks Where the Crawdads Sing in our Cineworld interview

Following her breakout role in Normal People, actor Daisy Edgar-Jones is now headed for the Hollywood A-list. She delivers a powerful and haunting performance in this week's new release Where the Crawdads Sing, which is adapted from the bestselling book by Delia Owens and produced by Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon.

Edgar-Jones takes on the lead role of Kya, the isolated North Carolina 'marsh girl' who is ostracized and shunned by her local community. At one with nature and the beauty of her surroundings, Kya finds her life turned upside down when she's accused of murder. Her entire existence is then interrogated with the movie playing out in two distinct timelines, one showing Kya's coming of age, and the other her eventual trial.

We were delighted to catch up with Daisy to discuss her preparation for playing Kya, the role of Taylor Swift's new song 'Carolina' in the story, and the enduring impact of Owens' novel. Scroll down to watch our revealing behind-the-scenes discussion.
