Image of Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx in Spectre

WWE star-turned-movie-actor Dave Bautista is a hot property off the back of his terrific performance as Drax the Destroyer in last year's Guardians of the Galaxy. And later this year, he cements his burgeoning film career with his role as henchman Mr. Hinx in new James Bond movie Spectre. Here's a shot of him...

There's no denying that Hinx looks set to be a physically imposing adversary for 007 (Daniel Craig). But Bautista says we shouldn't underestimate the character's intelligence either.

"When I came over to meet Sam [Mendes], I only asked two questions," Bautista tells Empire. "I asked him if Mr. Hinx was a badass. He said, 'Yes, he's a badass.' I said, 'Well, is Mr. Hinx intelligent?' He said, 'Very.' That's what I like about Mr. Hinx. He's very well-dressed and very well-mannered. I'm not just here to fight people. He has a sense of humour. He definitely knows what a metaphor is."

Fingers crossed that he'll live up to the standard set by Javier Bardem's wonderfully flamboyant Raoul Silva in previous Bond movie Skyfall. Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris all co-star in Spectre, due for release on 23rd October.
