Looking at Cineworld's Christmas gifting adverts both past and present

Christmas is right around the corner, so have you sorted your festive shopping yet? As a reminder, you can click here for more inspiration on gifting the extraordinary, not the ordinary, this Christmas with our gift range.

To get you in the cozy and warm-hearted festive spirit, here's a reminder of how we've celebrated past Christmases.

1. Stop looking!

Pop star Cerys Matthews narrated our 2017 campaign that encouraged Cineworlders to look for the perfect festive gift. This was the year that The Greatest Showman stormed the Christmas box office, so who remembers going on a date night for two with our gift box for two?

2. Casting a Christmas wish

To celebrate the release of the Disney sequel Mary Poppins Returns, we launched the following clip that teased our supercalifragilistic range of practically perfect presents. If you need some inspiration for presents both thoughtful and useful in 2023, then check it out again.

3. Cineworld charades

We get it – Christmas shopping invites so much guesswork and stress. We, therefore, invited customers to take the guesswork out of the process with our special Cineworld Charades video. (Click here to discover how the campaign came together.)

4. Cineworld Christmas ASMR

Who can resist the sounds of Christmas? The rustling of wrapping paper, the crackling of a log fire – it's one of the most evocative times of the year. That's why we invited British acting royalty Malcolm McDowell to lend his distinctive, warm tones to our ASMR-themed feature film, Dreaming of Stars.

What about Christmas 2023?

This year, it's all about gifting the extraordinary and not the ordinary. Our range of exciting and enticing Christmas gifts includes Christmas gift boxes and e-vouchers for two, Unlimited gift boxes and Unlimited e-vouchers.

All of these festive options promise to unlock an exciting year of movies at Cineworld, which will lift you above and beyond the usual predictable Christmas gifts. This year, it's all about worlds to save, not aftershave with the likes of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Think thrills, not drills with movies such as Wonka, and dramas, not pajamas with the acclaimed likes of Poor Things.
