Books into movies: your Cineworld guide to 6 exciting new adaptations

screen-poster

Today sees the release of Donna Tartt adaptation The Goldfinch, so what better time to recap six books into movies headed your way?

Directed by Brooklyn's John Crowley, The Goldfinch stars Ansel Elgort as Theo Decker, a troubled young man who lost his mother in a New York art gallery bombing. The movie leaps back and forth in time as we revisit Theo's adolescence and his bumpy journey into adulthood, a period marked by a transition into art theft, and underpinned by the presence of the Dutch painting known as The Goldfinch.

The all-star cast includes Nicole Kidman, Jeffrey Wright and Sarah Paulson, and the movie is shot by Oscar-winning Blade Runner 2049 cinematographer Roger Deakins.

Before you book your tickets here's our Cineworld guide to several forthcoming movie adaptations, hosted by Oli Davis from YouTube's geek mecca Screen Stalker.
