Noted comic and LGBTQ campaigner Billy Eichner heads for the big leagues with his intensely personal new rom-com, Bros.
Eichner writes and stars in this funny and progressive story of a gay man attempting to navigate the parameters of his own identity and the expectations forced on him by the wider world. Lucky Unlimited members can see the movie first as part of our Cineworld Unlimited screening this October.
Eichner plays Bobby, the curator of a newly opened LGBTQ+ History Museum in New York. However, despite his progressive credentials, Bobby's personal life is devoid of intimacy, until he meets the buff yet sensitive Aaron (Luke Macfarlane) at a club night. Sparks start to fly between the apparent chalk-and-cheese pairing as the avowedly single Bobby attempts to make room for someone else in his life.
Eichner collaborates with director Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and producer Judd Apatow (Knocked Up; Bridesmaids) to bring us a uniquely contemporary story of romantic complications. Check out the trailer below.
Will Bobby and Aaron make it as a couple? Find out by booking your tickets for the Cineworld Unlimited screening of Bros. The movie screens on October 18 ahead of its release date on October 28.
