Bonding over a passion for gastronomy and mutual admiration, their relationship develops into romance and gives rise to delicious dishes that impress even the world's most illustrious chefs. Wicked Little Letters (screening February 19th)

This enjoyably scabrous black comedy pairs two of the finest actors from the UK and Ireland: Oscar winner Olivia Colman (The Favourite) and Oscar nominee Jesse Buckley (I'm Thinking of Ending Things). In an English seaside town in the 1920s, conservative busybody Edith (Colman) is scandalised by the discovery of profanity-laden letters. Edith and the local community then attribute the letters to outspoken Irish immigrant Rose (Buckley), with drastic consequences.

The Persian Version (screening March 4th)

Iranian-American Leila (Layla Mohammadi) strives to find balance and embrace her opposing cultures, while boldly challenging the labels society is so quick to project upon her. When her family reunites in New York City for her father’s heart transplant, Leila navigates her relationships at arm’s length to keep her “real” life separate from her family life.

However, when her secret is unceremoniously revealed, so are the distinct parallels between her life and that of her mother Shireen (Niousha Noor).
