Your new horror icon is a humanoid doll by the name of M3GAN – and she doesn't play nice. In the latest onslaught from producers and terror veterans James Wan (Insidious) and Jason Blum (Happy Death Day), a young orphan is given a new robotic companion that swiftly goes out of control.
Get Out star Alison Williams plays electronics developer Gemma who enlists the help of a new M3GAN prototype for her grieving niece, Cady (Violet McGraw). Said companion looks and sounds like a human (well, vaguely) and is meant to safeguard Cady from physical and emotional harm.
However, M3GAN soon takes the brief a bit too literally, whether it's offing the next-door neighbour's dog or showing Cady's bully a gruesome lesson in manners. M3GAN is embodied to memorably menacing effect by Amie Donald (body) and Jenna Davis (voice), and she's also got some mean dance movies, as the movie's trailer makes clear.
Go behind the scenes of M3GAN in the following video. Who is M3GAN? You're about to find out...
