What is Tenet about? After all this time, we’re still not really sure, and even if we were, how could we possibly describe it? After all, it’s a Christopher Nolan movie, and if know one thing about them, it’s that they defy description.
The Inception and Interstellar filmmaker returns with a mega-budget ($205 million) epic shot in a host of global locations. BlacKkKlansman’s John David Washington pairs with The Lighthouse’s Robert Pattinson for a riveting tale of espionage, ‘time-inversion’ and a world under threat.
The final trailer for Nolan’s movie has made its debut, and those who want to preserve the mystique of the film are advised to stay away. Otherwise, you’ll get more cryptic reference to entropy (that’s the flow of time to us lay-people), more glimpses of stunning backwards-forwards action scenes, and more glimpses of the glamorous locations that have been ravishingly captured via IMAX cameras by DP Hoyte van Hoytema.
The film co-stars Kenneth Branagh, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine, Himesh Patel, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clemence Poesy and Dimple Kapadia. It’s released in the UK and Ireland on 26th August, so if you cannot resist a look at the trailer, here it is.
