1. Lyle Lyle Crocodile
In this adaptation of the hit children's book series, an anthropomorphic crocodile discovers his vocal talents. Music star Shawn Mendes voices the eponymous Lyle who moves in with the kindly Primm family, only to discover that he's destined for great things. Javier Bardem, Constance Wu and Scoot McNairy lend live-action support to CGI creation Lyle.

2. Minions: The Rise of Gru
The biggest family box office hit of the summer can still be experienced at Cineworld. Whether you missed Gru's latest run-in with the Minions or are playing to make your umpteenth visit to see it again, don't miss the gloriously anarchic sidekicks on the big screen this half-term.

3. DC League of Super-Pets
While Dwayne Johnson tears up the screen in DC's Black Adam, you can also enjoy him in family-friendly form in this DC-themed animated adventure. Johnson voices Superman's dog Krypto, once again enjoying great chemistry with regular co-star Kevin Hart (who voices Batman's loyal pooch Ace).

4. Tad the Lost Explorer and the Secret of the Mummy
When aspiring archeologist Tad destroys a rare sarcophagus, a spell is cast, putting his friends’ lives in danger. He must then travel to the far corners of the world to find a way to stop the curse of the Emerald Tablet.
