Have you booked your Cineworld tickets for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One yet? If so, you'll want to check out this newly released featurette that explores the making of the film's frenetic and thrilling car chase in Rome.
Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt and Hayley Atwell's mysterious Grace find themselves handcuffed during a pursuit that involves the Italian police and Pom Klementieff's rampaging assassin Paris.
As one might expect, the sequence is staggering in its logistical complexity, propelling Cruise from a recently commandeered police bike to an amusingly overpowered Fiat 500.
Director Christopher McQuarrie is on hand to guide us through the technically challenging sequence that propels the characters through the cobbled alleyways of the Italian capital. Or, as Cruise puts it, the most important thing is to "not crash". All well and good when you're the driver (naturally, Cruise steps into that role), but the passenger? That's more than a little scary.
The set-up of the sequence is classic Mission: Impossible, seemingly defying the odds with in-camera practical effects and more than a small dose of humour. And to think this is just one of the gargantuan action sequences on offer in the movie.
How awesome does that look? Don't miss your chance to watch this sequence, and many more like it, on the biggest Cineworld screen you can find. Get your Mission: Impossible tickets on the link below. The movie is released on July 11th.
