Cineworld Unlimited members have tweeted their stunned reactions to the sweeping science-fiction saga Dune. Adapted from the first half of Frank Herbert's novel, Dune brings us the battle between the Houses of Atreides and Harkonnen on the desolate desert planet of Arrakis. Director Denis Villeneuve marshals internecine betrayals, complex political wrangling and jaw-dropping set-pieces, as young Paul Atreides (Timotheé Chalamet) grapples with his destiny as the universe's potential new messiah.
Shot in IMAX and with a constellation of A-listers featuring, including Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac, Dune is truly gargantuan filmmaking. Certainly, the scope of the movie overwhelmed many who went to see it, including the superbly named Warlord of Didcot.
Thanks to @cineworld for the DUNE preview. It’s SO good. Denis Villeneuve has really done the vision justice. Outstanding score from Hans Zimmer, and superb work by the whole cast!

Here's a sampling of responses outlining why you must see Villeneuve's ambitious adaptation on the biggest screen possible.
Not since Avengers: Endgame has a film kept me on edge of my seat as much as #Dune has. This film deserves to be seen on the biggest screen possible. I thoroughly enjoyed it and definitely can’t wait for Part 2. #CineworldUnlimited

The cinematography was stunning, it looked amazing on the big screen! The pacing was a tad slow but I’m sure this will perk up in the next instalment. Cast was great too, Roll on the next part! #cineworldunlimited #Dune pic.twitter.com/pFnx8LtimC

I thought it was a truly cinematic experience. I can’t remember when a film last made me feel like I had been transported to the world of the story. Looking forward to the next film #DUNE

Absolutely loved #Dune
Stellar performances from everyone.
Almost every frame of the movie could be printed and displayed in a gallery.
A MUST see on the large screen!
Hurry and bring Part 2!
The #cineworldunlimited screening of #Dune was some way to spend 2 and a bit hours. A film on an epic scale that must be seen on the big screen. Definitely in my top 20 so far this year. @cineworld

Everything I hoped it would be and more. My only critique is I want MORE. Part 2 cannot come quickly enough.

Nevertheless, not everybody was won over. One criticism is that the movie might not make complete sense to those who haven't read the book.
Dune looked absolutely magnificent, and there were some great performances, but… I spent a lot of time bored, and there wasn’t really enough to it if you’re not already familiar with the source material.

An impressive spectacle but having never read the book I got a bit lost with some of the goings on and (more crucially) struggled to care. Had it's moments, but I'm mostly feeling mixed on it
