In Creed III, boxer Adonis 'Donnie' Creed (Michael B. Jordan, who also directs) discovers the past is never buried, and he discovers it the hard way. Following the hard-hitting events of the previous two Creed movies, Donnie is now at the peak of his success, but he acknowledges that he's been actively shaped by two important figures.
The first of these is the legendary Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), whose exploits we followed on the big screen from 1976 to 2006. Although Rocky is absent from the events of Creed III, he's helped Donnie get to where he is. The other significant influence in Donnie's life is his late father Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), Rocky's rival turned friend who was killed in the ring by Soviet pugilist Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) during the events of Rocky IV (1985).
While Donnie contends with the responsibility of living up to both men, he must then confront an active threat in the present day. Old childhood friend turned enemy Damian (Jonathan Majors) arrives on the scene to challenge Donnie's supremacy, and is hugely envious of the latter's success. There's only one way to settle things: get back in the ring and wait for the sound of the bell.
Go behind the scenes of Creed III in the following video and discover how the importance of historical legacy continues to course through Donnie's veins.
It will be time to discover the latest visceral chapter in the Rocky saga when Creed III is released on March 3rd.
