The Jigarthanda team reunite for an intriguing Tamil drama centred on its female characters. Young Tamil director Karthik Subbaraj is a talent who refuses to be pigeonholed. He made his mark back in 2012 with the clever, well-received horror-thriller Pizza, which quickly became a cult hit and spawned a franchise. He swiftly moved on with 2014's blackly comic gangster movie Jigarthanda, with a cast toplined by Kollywood star Siddharth. It also had great roles for his friends Vijay Sethupathi and breakout star Bobby Simha, both of whom have reunited with the director for his third film, Iraivi. The plot is veiled in secrecy, but Karthik has let slip that he's venturing into new territory once again by focussing on the female characters, with Anjali among his actresses. As with all his films, the soundtrack composer is Santhosh Narayanan.
