IMAX

IMAX screenings are a higher ticket price than regular 2D screenings. IMAX ticket prices will vary depending on a number of factors including location, time of day, and type of film that is playing.

Unlimited members will only need to pay a small uplift fee for IMAX sceenings, depending on their membership group and the location of the cinema they are attending.

We currently have 26 IMAX equipped cinemas across the UK. Find your closest Cineworld IMAX here

  • IMAX with Laser has been designed from the ground-up exclusively for IMAX screens. The experience is set apart by its next-generation 4K laser projection system which features a new optical engine and a suite of proprietary IMAX technologies that deliver increased resolution, sharper and brighter images, deeper contrast as well as the most distinct, exotic colors ever available on-screen.

    The new experience also features IMAX's 12-channel sound technology with new side and overhead channels that deliver greater dynamic range and precision for the ultimate in audio immersion.

    No, 3D glasses are included in the ticket price and will be provided upon entry into the IMAX auditorium by Cineworld staff.

     

    4DX

    4DX is an extreme sensory cinema experience, and exclusive to Cineworld in the UK and Ireland. With stimulating effects like water, wind, scent and strobe lighting, that thrill you in your moving seat.

    Customer safety is of the utmost importance to Cineworld, therefore there are some rules we wish customers to follow. The 4DX experience is not suitable for everyone, so please ensure you read the 4DX information located here, before you book your ticket.

    We have signage and an onscreen ident before every 4DX screening to ensure it is a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

     

    ScreenX

    A Cineworld exclusive in the UK, this state-of-the-art atmospheric experience surrounds you in your seat with innovative 270° projection across 3 screens, blended into 1 unforgettable projection experience!

    ScreenX is a panoramic film format which presents films with an expanded, dual-sided, 270-degree screens projected on the walls in our cinema auditoriums.

    Super Screen

    Powered by epic Dolby Atmos speakers, projected with cutting edge digital projectors onto some of the largest screens in the UK, Super screen is a Cineworld exclusive viewing experience.

    Event Cinema

    Simply head to the booking page for the event you wish to see and book your seat as you would with a normal film. Event cinema tickets are usually available much fuarther in advance, so be sure to book ahead to reserve your seat!

    Tickets can also be purchased in cinema.

    Yes! As a Cineworld Unlimited member you are entitled to a 50% discount on most Event cinema.

    For live events, no adverts or trailers will be shown, so please ensure you arrive before the advertised start time so that you do not miss the start of the show!

    Intervals may be placed in both live and recorded events.

    ViP

    ViP is a new and exclusive experience at Cineworld. Audiences can now experience the next level in cinema comfort with ViP including:

    Private lounge: ViP adds premium levels of comfort to your visit – in fact, the ViP treatment starts from the moment you walk through the doors. Our friendly staff will greet you as soon as you arrive at the exclusive private lounge ahead of the movie screening.

    Gourmet buffet: You will be able to relax in the lounge and enjoy a gourmet buffet before the movie starts. Light gourmet food will be prepared by a local chef and unlimited soft drinks will all be included in the price. When we say luxurious, we mean it. You will also be able to purchase a range of alcoholic drinks at the private bar before taking your favourite cinema snacks into the auditorium. And the experience doesn't stop when the movie starts.

    Luxury reclining seats: As part of the ViP Experience, the intimate and specially designed screens are fitted with luxurious 'lazy boy' style reclining seats and individual tables. The extremely generous sized leather seats, measuring 155.5cm when reclined back fully, offer the ultimate in relaxation and comfort.

    The ViP lounge opens 45 minutes before the advertised start time as shown on your ticket. Guests are welcome to enjoy the buffet and relax in our exclusive lounge prior to the start of their film. The concierge desk is open 1 hour before the film is due to start to deal with any enquiries.

    As a ViP ticket holder you have access to the exclusive ViP lounge and bar. You will watch your film in a ViP auditorium. The 40 seat auditorium features luxurious ‘La-Z-Boy’ style reclining seats.

    The ticket price also includes buffet, unlimited soft drinks, tea, coffee and your favorite cinema snacks (popcorn, nachos and hotdogs). The only additional cost is for any alcoholic drinks you may purchase from the Lounge Bar.

    Of course, a fully licensed bar is open from when the doors open until 10pm.

    Food is prepared by our local chef. The food offer is a selection of pizzas, pasta dishes, prepared potatoes, various salads, and soup with a selection of breads and oils. Desserts on offer include frozen yoghurt, fresh fruits and a selection of cakes. You can also top up on your favourite cinema snacks throughout the movie.

    A menu of the day is on display on the concierge desk outside the Lounge and also on the cinema's Facebook page.

    Food from the buffet is not allowed in the auditorium. But you’ll be able to top up on your favourite movie snacks and soft drinks throughout the movie and purchase alcoholic drinks from the bar.

    Yes- Unlimited card holders can enjoy the ViP experience at the special discount ticket price. Please remember to bring your Unlimited card with you. Unlimited card holders can also obtain a discount on alcohol at the ViP bar.

    If you have any special dietary needs for example, vegan or gluten free, we can prepare a special individual dish for you but would require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice ahead of your visit. Vegetarian options are available at all times.

    None of our food products have ‘approved for Halal’ certification from our suppliers but we would advise checking with the cinema regardless, as this may changed depending on seasonal menus.

    Yes – A CEA/Carer card may be used. This enables the carer to view the film only free of charge with an optional payment of £21 should they wish to enjoy the light, buffet, unlimited soft drinks and cinema treats.

    As soon as films are released for sale within ViP you can book.

    Tickets are also available from all concessions areas in our cinemas.

    No, 2D and 3D screenings are charged at the same price with 3D glasses included in the ticket price.

    That is the end of the ViP experience; we hope you leave having fully enjoyed the offer and the facilities.

    Once a performance has ended, we politely request customers do not continue to use the hot and cold buffet or Unlimited snacks and drinks. Customers are welcome to use the ViP Lounge Bar. The bar closes 30 minutes before the end of the last performance.

    Private Venue Hire

    Prices may vary depending on location and day booked. The simplest way to check our prices is to visit our Events page here and choose your cinema, day, time, and chosen film and the price will be displayed on screen. For larger events and special requests please contact our Events team using our contact form.

    Our prices for private hire events can vary, depending on factors such as location, time, film and date so can often be higher than the advertised prices.

    All quotes are valid for 14 days.

    Please contact your booker and they will look to reschedule your booking or refund where possible. Changes to your booking and cancellations more than 7 days before your event will incur an administration charge and you may also be responsible for some of Cineworld’s wasted costs. If you cancel your booking within 7 days of the event, the full cost of the venue hire will be charged (and where you have paid in advance, a refund may not be issued). Please check the terms of your booking for further details.

    Of course. We hire out our screens and cinemas for everything from private film screenings and, conferences. Please complete a booking form and we’ll be in touch shortly.

    This will be dependent on-screen size and specific cinemas. Please contact the Events team for specifics via the booking forms.

    Due to circumstances beyond our control, there are occasions in which screenings need to be cancelled. Please rest assured we will do our best to avoid this and reschedule if possible and Events Team will contact you to discuss your options.

    We apologise for this and would advise you to speak to a member of the cinema team at that time who will look to resolve this for you.     Please be aware that tickets for private event screenings cannot be resold to any persons unless the event is specifically for charity and this has been cleared with Cineworld Events Team first.

    The cinema will have received the same invoice and order details as you received. Should you have concerns, please raise this with one of the in-cinema team who will contact the Events Team and aim to resolve swiftly.

    Even for a private event BBFC age certification applies. Cineworld reserves the right to ask any person for proof of age for any age restricted film and subsequently refuse admission with no refund due.

    If at the time of booking your event, the age rating for your chosen film has not been confirmed by the BBFC or IFCO or is subsequently confirmed and the attendees at your Event do not meet the age requirement we may have to cancel the event or suggest an alternative title.

    Only standard 2D screens are available for hire. Premium formats such as IMAX, 4DX, Screen X or Superscreen are excluded.
