What is Yoti?
Yoti is a form of digital ID and allows customers to prove their age via their phone, either online or in person.
The Yoti digital ID gives young people aged from 13 upwards a safer, more convenient way to prove their age using their smartphone – meaning that important ID documents such as passports can now be left at home.
How do I download Yoti to my phone?
The following will allow you to download the Yoti app:
- Download the Yoti or Post Office EasyID app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store
- Register on the app following the instructions on-screen
- Add your government-approved ID document. Yoti accepts passports, driving licences and national ID cards from 185+ countries
- Add a photo. This will be the photo displayed on your digital ID
- Once your identity document has been verified your digital ID is ready to use
How do I use Yoti at Cineworld?
Follow these steps to utilise your Yoti digital ID:
- Open the Yoti app – tap to show the ID card and select age (no other personal details are shared)
- Present the ID card to cinema staff
- You're then ready to enjoy the big screen experience at Cineworld
