Watch the first full trailer for the all-new Dune reboot

If you've been eagerly anticipating the new reboot of 1984 cult sci-fi epic Dune, then now's the time to get really excited. The first full trailer for Denis Villeneuve's film has landed like a Kindjal fighter craft, and it looks absolutely awesome.

Adapted from Frank Herbert's 1965 sci-fi novel, Dune charts the power struggle between rival families as they attempt to seize control of a desert planet rich in a valuable substance called 'the spice'.

Timothée Chalamet follows up his acclaimed performance in Greta Gerwig's Little Women to star as the anti-hero Paul Atreides, while the stellar supporting cast includes the likes of Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Javier Bardem and Charlotte Rampling.

Warner Bros will be hoping that this new adaptation fares somewhat better than David Lynch's original, which became a cult hit among sci-fans but made a loss at the box office.

And looking at the trailer, we reckon the film could be a real corker. Dune arrives at Cineworld cinemas on 18 December. Hope to see you there!
