Top Gun: Maverick is back on Cineworld screens to take our breath away (again)

Top Gun: Maverick is currently the most successful movie of the summer ($1.2 billion and counting), and has stormed 'best of the year' lists with a mighty 97% aggregate score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Tom Cruise's long-delayed Top Gun sequel surpassed our expectations with its nostalgic winks to the past, strong performances and dramatic continuation of the Top Gun mythology. And those remarkable in-cockpit sequences, lensed with IMAX cameras, prove it's not just the strains of Berlin that can take our breath away.

Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski, along with cinematographer Claudio Miranda, pushed the envelope by using Sony Venice IMAX-certified cameras. Watch their extraordinary work pay off with the Top Gun: Maverick IMAX presentation, featuring up to 26% more picture in select sequences throughout the movie.

2. 4DX

We've got the highway to the danger zone right here. The 4DX experience, only at Cineworld cinemas in the UK and Ireland, utilises visceral multisensory effects including wind and moving seats. It will make feel like you're right there alongside Maverick himself.

3. ScreenX

You know the phrase 'rollercoaster ride'? Top Gun: Maverick in ScreenX is the real deal. State-of-the-art technology uses up to 12 additional projectors to extend the film onto the side walls of the auditorium, for an atmospheric, 270-degree experience that surrounds you in your seat.
