The Matrix: Resurrections posters tease the return of Neo and other favourites

Keanu Reeves returns as Neo in a brand new poster for The Matrix: Resurrections – and he's not alone. Stylish one-sheets have also been released showcasing Carrie-Ann Moss' Trinity, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II's young Morpheus and Jessica Henwick's Bugs. Also revealed (although we don't yet know who they're playing): Priyanka Chopra, Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff and Eréndira Ibarra.

As to whether he would take the red or the blue pill, Reeves responded: "You know, reality and existence is tough enough, so it would be great to have the red pill so you could at least start from there. But you know, maybe they could have a blue pill for like a vacation, you know, like the vacation blue pill. But it still wouldn't be as good as going on vacation on the red pill!"

And what about those rumours that a certain Mr. Reeves is about to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)? "Isn't it bigger than a universe? It's almost like a multiverse. It's the Marvelverse! No, it would be an honour. "[There's] some really amazing directors and visionaries and they're doing something no one's really ever done, especially in that sense in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it'd be cool to be a part of that."

While we wait for that pipedream to become a reality, The Matrix: Resurrections is released in Cineworld cinemas on 22nd December. Don't forget to check out our Matrix: Resurrections trailer breakdown.
