The Goonies cast reunion: watch Josh Gad get the gang back together

All of us are finding creative ways to stave off boredom during the lockdown. Celebrities are doing the same, but they've got an advantage in the form of A-list contacts.

It's, therefore, a delight to watch Frozen star Josh Gad assemble the cast and crew of one of his childhood favourites: The Goonies. The man behind Olaf recalls being four years old upon the movie's release in 1985, where he was promptly whisked into its story of treasure-seeking adventure.

Brace yourself for nostalgia overload in the following video, as Gad goes to town in assembling an awesome virtual reunion. It makes up the first episode of his planned 'Reunited Apart' series, which aims to bring together classic film casts currently in lockdown.

Sean Astin, Josh Brolin and Ke Huy Quan are just three of the former child stars showing up, while director Richard Donner and producer Steven Spielberg also get in on the act.

Looking for something to cheer you up? This is it. And Spielberg also discusses the possibility of a Goonies sequel, which has long been on the cards. Check out the video below.
