What is the story of A Midsummer Night's Dream?

The Bard's much-loved fantasy-romance is one of his most enduringly popular plays. The course of true love never did run smooth in this enchanting staging of Shakespeare's 16th-century masterpiece, in which a royal fairy couple meddles in the love lives of a group of people who stray into the woods. This iteration of the play comes from director Nicholas Hytner, acclaimed for the likes of The Madness of King George III and The History Boys. Game of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie leads as the imperious Titania, with the inventive Bridge Theatre production lending fresh exuberance and visual style.
