All-star autumn movies: The Intern, Masterminds and Burnt

Kick back this autumn with a dose of star power at Cineworld. A-list studded movies involve interns, bumbling bank robbers and dedicated chefs. Scroll down for more details.

The Intern

What's the story? Robert De Niro stars as the world's oldest intern in this touching comedy.

Recently widowed 70-year-old Ben Whittaker (Robert De Niro) has discovered that retirement isn't what he was hoping it would be. Frustrated at not having a job he decides to become an intern at a cutting edge online fashion site. The weirdness of this set-up is not lost on the company's thirtysomething CEO, Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway), but after a while, both Ben and Jules begin to learn that each of them can learn something from the other.

Academy Award winners Robert De Niro ( Raging Bull, Silver Linings Playbook) and Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables, The Devil Wears Prada) star together in this delightful comedy-drama from award-winning filmmaker Nancy Meyers (It's Complicated, The Holiday).

The Intern opens on 2nd October.

Masterminds

What's the story? Zach Galifianakis stars as a first-time crook double-crossed by his criminal cohorts in this comedy based on a true story.

David Ghantt (Zach Galifianakis)'s job is driving the armoured car bringing thousands of dollars to and from banks every day. To say he's bored with his life and unhappy with his work is an understatement. So when his co-worker Kelly (Kristen Wiig) suggests David helps her and a group of accomplices in their plan to rob a bank vault, he doesn't even hesitate.

But after stealing the $20 million, David finds himself double-crossed by his criminal cohorts. Now, in this comedy inspired by true events and directed by Jared Hess, David will discover that the only thing tougher than pulling off the heist will be trying to turn the tables on those who betrayed him.

Zach Galifianakis heads up an all-star cast that also includes Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis in this true life story based on the 1997 Loomis Fargo Bank Robbery in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Masterminds is released on 9th October.

Burnt

What's the story? Silver Linings Playbook actor Bradley Cooper plays a fiercely dedicated chef in this intense drama.

For Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper), the searing heat and pressure cooker atmosphere of the kitchen is where he feels most at home. Having left school at the age of 16, he ruthlessly pursued his dream of becoming a noted international chef. Decades later, he's lost that dream thanks to his erratic behaviour and drug use.

Looking to rebuild his life and career, Adam plans to open a revolutionary new restaurant in London that pushes the boundaries of fine dining. But can this maverick culinary wizard keep his own personal demons separate from the mouthwatering world of cutting-edge gastronomy?

Following his acclaimed performances in the likes of Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle and American Sniper, Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper now sets his sights on another driven character. The excellent supporting cast includes Emma Thompson, Sienna Miller, Alicia Vikander and Daniel Bruhl.

Burnt is released on 6th November.
