Out now in Cineworld, Misbehaviour is the inspiring and funny true story of the women who made a name for themselves during the 1970 Miss World competition. This includes eventual winner Miss Grenada, who defied systemic racism and prejudice to emerge victorious.
And it wasn't just those featuring in the contest itself. Widespread protests accompanied the arrival of the show in London, and the newly formed Women's Liberation Movement picketed brash host Bob Hope, whose outspoken attitudes towards the opposite sex caused anger.
Keira Knightley, Jessie Buckley, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Keeley Hawes, Rhys Ifans, Lesley Manville and Greg Kinnear make up the excellent cast, while Three Girls' Philippa Lowthorpe directs. The script, meanwhile, is a collaboration between novelist Rebecca Frayn and Their Finest screenwriter Gaby Chiappe.
