Killer android M3GAN is the toast of January, having hoovered up critical plaudits, meme-worthy status and box-office gold. That's what great dance moves and a witty sense of menace will do for you.
It's now official: the M3GAN sequel M3GAN 2.0 will be reaching us in January 2025, confirms Deadline. It promises yet more menace from this year's breakout horror star.
Deadline reports: "The sequel’s script is being penned by Akela Cooper (M3GAN, Malignant, The Nun 2), who wrote the script for the original film. Allison Williams and Violet McGraw are on board to return for the sequel. Williams will also serve as a producer. She served as an [executive producer] on the original film."
Deadline also confirms that horror powerhouses James Wan and Jason Blum, who produced the first movie, will be back on board. There's no word yet as to whether director Gerard Johnstone will be back.
