Mark Wahlberg stars in Father Stu, which is based on a remarkable true story. The former Transformers star dips into his dramatic skills as evinced in the likes of Boogie Nights and The Fighter, playing a boxer turned priest on a collision course with redemption.
The movie recently screened for Cineworld Unlimited members ahead of its general release and we've curated some of their reactions here.
Enjoyed it, nice surprise to see Mel Gibson and Malcolm McDowell, was a little slow at some points but that worked for the story, wonderful performance from @markwahlberg, but blimey what a tear jerker. #CineworldUnlimited

loved it. avoided all trailers so a real surprise to see such a great cast alongside Mark Wahlberg who was superb. had such a lump in my throat that my drink wouldn't go down. highly recommended

Didn't know anything going in and I think that is the best way. Two very different halves of the movie and you get to see a different side of @markwahlberg to usual

I really enjoyed it. Yes, it has pacing issues, & the ending (although inevitable) was quite abrupt. It was very well acted (particularly by Mark Wahlberg), though, and overall didn’t disappoint.
