Christian Bale's villainous role in Marvel movie Thor: Love and Thunder has been announced. As part of Disney Investor Day, it's been revealed that Bale will be playing Gorr the God Butcher for director Taika Waititi.

Chris Hemsworth will be returning as the God of Thunder. However, his supremacy is challenged by the returning Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) who will be absorbing her own set of extraordinary powers. The new ruler of Asgard will be Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson).
Waititi returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) following his rollicking 2017 movie Thor: Ragnarok. His treatment of Gorr is surely to spike the interest of many Marvel fans. Born on an unnamed planet, he is practically an immoral being possessing super-human strength and more besides.
Surely Christian Bale can just roar at everyone with his Batman voice and that will become a superpower on its own?
