Celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cineworld Weymouth

We're inviting you to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cineworld Weymouth on the 21st of December. This special birthday coincides with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Cineworld Weymouth first opened its doors in 1999 – the year of Star Wars prequel The Phantom Menace, not to mention The Matrix and The Sixth Sense. And to celebrate our anniversary, local residents will be invited to join in with festivities and activities.

This includes tucking into celebratory Tracey Flick cupcakes inspired by Reese Witherspoon comedy film Election, testing your gaming skills with nineties phone game favourite Snake, or spinning the wheel of fortune to win amazing prizes and goodies.

Movie fans are also encouraged to get into the spirit of 1999, by coming dressed as their favourite film character, with on the spot prizes given out to the best dressed. The cinema foyer will also be kitted out with various ‘99 film paraphernalia’ including John Malkovich masks, Fight Club Soap all to the tune of a 1999 soundtrack which includes Hit Me Baby One More Time, Blue (Da Ba Dee) and Living La Vida Loca!
