Marvel at the added dimensions of Avengers: Infinity War in IMAX 3D (plus there's a new poster)

As of today, we're exactly three weeks away from the release of Avengers: Infinity War, and to say we're all excited is an understatement.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll be well aware this is the movie that spells doom for certain members of the Marvel ensemble. Which ones isn't clear at the stage, but the likes of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk, (Mark Ruffalo) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) find themselves in the firing line of super villain Thanos (Josh Brolin) and his Black Order.

With upwards of 30 principal characters, also including the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), the movie possesses an awe-inspiring sense of scale. But while watching the movie on the big screen is one thing, experiencing it in immersive IMAX is something else entirely. In fact, the movie was shot by the Russo brothers using the ALEXA IMAX 65mm camera – all the better for showing off the capabilities of the format.

Allow the following video to explain how IMAX gives you a lot more movie than you'd expect.

And while we're at it, here's the totally awesome new IMAX poster. Can you spot the Easter Eggs contained within? (If you're struggling, click here.)
