Tenet: go behind the scenes with Christopher Nolan and the cast

Tenet is one of those movies where, on at least half a dozen occasions, you will sit there wondering: how did they do that? And for those who are keen to peek behind the curtain, here's a new behind the scenes featurette for Christopher Nolan's latest.

The Inception filmmaker returns with a ravishingly shot, mega-budget story of 'time-inversion', with an all-star cast led by John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman). Washington's intense physical commitment to his role takes centre stage in the following sneak peek, as we get to see how he performed his own stunts and fight scenes. That's surely the advantage of casting an ex-American football player.

Nolan himself explains the need to craft a physical world on which to paint his complex ideas. This entailed a near-total avoidance of CGI, and a willingness to push the envelope in terms of practical effects. Cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, plus actors Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh and Himesh Patel, also pop up and tell us what we can expect. Check it out below.
