October family fun: Hotel Transylvania 2 and Pan

Planning a family trip to Cineworld this autumn? Check out the wickedly entertaining movies headed your way this October.

Hotel Transylvania 2

What's the story? The gang of Hotel Transylvania return in this eagerly-awaited sequel to the 2012 monster hit.

Count Dracula isn't happy. Though he has a grandson now in the shape of Dennis, he's disappointed that the little chap isn't, well, enough of a proper vampire. So when Dennis' parents, Mavis and Johnny, go on holiday, the Count enlists his friends Frank, Murray, Wayne, Griffin and Blobbie, to help put Dennis through a "monster-in-training" boot camp. Meanwhile, to add to Dracula's woes, his father, Vlad, turns up, and blows his top when he finds out that Hotel Transylvania now accepts humans...

The world's most fangtastic hotel proprietor, Count Dracula (Adam Sandler), returns for another hilarious animated adventure. Joining Sandler on voice duties are Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Kevin James, and – as Dracula's father – legendary Young Frankenstein director Mel Brooks!

Hotel Transylvania 2 is released on 16th October.

Pan

What's the story? Discover the origins of iconic child hero Peter Pan in this sweeping family adventure.

Have you ever wondered where ageless, soaring hero Peter Pan actually came from? Well this lavish, action-packed family fantasy does just that, being the magical story of a young orphan boy who discovers his destiny in the magical Neverland.

Directed by Atonement and Hanna filmmaker Edgar Wright, the movie whisks audiences away to a vision of Neverland never before seen. Megastar Hugh Jackman plays the villainous pirate Blackbeard and we're also introduced to a younger incarnation of Pan's eventual nemesis James Hook (Garrett Hedlund), as well as Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara).

Pan flies onto screens on 16th October.
