Your Unlimited 3D screening of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is this Friday

Don't forget your Unlimited 3D screening of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swings into action this Friday.

This dazzling comic book adventure is the first animated movie in Sony's expanding Spider-Man canon, introducing us to the 'multi-verse' and centering on alternate, mixed race Spidey character Miles Morales (Shameik Moore).

When he's reluctantly compelled to take over the mantle of Spider-Man from Peter Parker, Miles finds himself coming face to face with a host of other web-slingers from alternate comic book universes. Miles's new allies include another Peter Parker (Jake Johnson), Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld), Spider-Noir (Nicolas Cage), Peni Parker (Kimiko Glenn) and Spider-Ham (John Mulaney) – who is a walking, talking pig.

Produced under the auspices of LEGO Movie architects Phil Lord and Chris Miller (the former co-writes the screenplay), this is a visually exuberant, hilarious and affectionate salute to the enduring Spider-Man legacy. Both championing and lampooning Spidey mythology, it's pure catnip for comic book fans of all ages.

And your Unlimited journey doesn't stop there. On 11th December, we're screening emotional drama Beautiful Boy, based on the powerful true story of a family torn apart by their son's drug addiction. Steve Carell and Timothee Chalamet are being widely tipped for Oscar nominations, so check out the trailer below.

And finally, on 18th December there's a feature-length tribute to legendary comic double-act Laurel and Hardy in Stan & Ollie. Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly give eerily accurate portrayals of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy in this funny and poignant look at the duo's twilight years spent touring British seaside towns.
