BAFTA Rising Star nominee Jessie Buckley, who will be familiar to Unlimited audiences from last year's moody thriller Beast, stars as aspiring musician Rose-Lynn Harlan.
Fresh out of prison with her two kids in tow, and desperate to leave her working class Glasgow roots behind, Rose-Lynn vows to make it as a country music star. Against the wishes of her despairing mother (Billy Elliot and Mamma Mia! star Julie Walters), Rose-Lynn pursues her dream in order to secure brighter future.
Directed by Tom Harper, a veteran of TV shows including Peaky Blinders and War and Peace, Wild Rose generated significant acclaim during its London Film Festival debut last year. Critics say the movie soars off the back of Buckley's tenacious and lively performance, further cementing her as one of Britain's brightest young talents.
