What's the story? Ali Davis (Taraji P. Henson) is a successful sports agent who's constantly boxed out by her male colleagues. When Ali is passed up for a well-deserved promotion, she questions what else she needs to do to succeed in a man's world... until she gains the ability to hear men's thoughts! With her newfound power, Ali looks to outsmart her colleagues as she races to sign the next basketball superstar, but the lengths she has to go to will put her relationship with her best friends and a potential new love interest (Aldis Hodge) to the test.

Fisherman's Friends

What's the story? A fast-living, cynical London music executive (Danny Mays) heads to a remote Cornish village on a stag weekend where he's pranked by his boss (Noel Clarke) into trying to sign a group of shanty singing fishermen (led by James Purefoy). He becomes the ultimate 'fish out of water' as he struggles to gain the respect or enthusiasm of the unlikely boy band and their families (including Tuppence Middleton) who value friendship and community over fame and fortune. As he's drawn deeper into the traditional way of life he's forced to re-evaluate his own integrity and ultimately question what success really means.

Ben is Back (wide release)

What's the story? 19 year-old Ben Burns (Lucas Hedges) unexpectedly returns home to his family's suburban home on Christmas Eve morning. Ben's mother, Holly (Julia Roberts), is relieved and welcoming but wary of her son staying clean. Over a turbulent 24 hours, new truths are revealed, and a mother's undying love for her son is tested as she does everything in her power to keep him safe. Ben is Back also stars Courtney B. Everybody Knows (limited release)

What's the story? Universal Pictures and Memento Films present Everybody Knows (Todos Lo Saben) starring Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem. Written by Asghar Farhadi and produced by the team behind the Academy Award-winning The Salesman and the acclaimed drama The Past, Everybody Knows in an unforgettable portrait of love, loss, and betrayal. The film follows Laura (Cruz) on her travels from Argentina to her small home town in Spain for her sister's wedding, bringing her two children along for the occasion. Amid the joyful reunion and festivities, the eldest daughter is abducted. In the tense days that follow, various family and community tensions surface and deeply hidden secrets are revealed.

The Fight (wide release)

What's the story? Tina Bell (Jessica Hynes) lives in a quiet seaside town but her life is anything but quiet - her mother is threatening to leave her father, her daughter is being bullied and she and her husband Mick (Shaun Parkes) are juggling full time jobs and three children. What's the story? Rose-Lynn Harlan, played by BAFTA Rising Star nominee Jessie Buckley (Beast), is bursting with raw talent, charisma and cheek. Fresh out of jail and with two young kids, all she wants is to get out of Glasgow and make it as a country singer in Nashville. Her mum Marion (Julie Walters) has had a bellyful of Rose-Lynn's Nashville nonsense. Forced to take responsibility, Rose-Lynn gets a cleaning job, only to find an unlikely champion in the middle-class lady of the house (Sophie Okonedo). Directed by Tom Harper, Wild Rose is an uplifting story with an original soundtrack about family, dreams and reality, and three chords and the truth.

Miszmasz czyli Kogel - Mogel 3 (Polish)

What's the story? The film’s main protagonist, Kasia (Grażyna Błęcka-Kolska), still lives in the village of Brzózki and fights off her unwanted suitor, Staszek Kolasa. Her son Marcin (Nikodem Rozbicki) unexpectedly returns to Poland and trouble finds him right away. The young man comes up with an idea for an unusual business enterprise… Subsequently, the Wolański family faces a sudden crisis. Mrs Wolańska (Ewa Kaskprzyk), a famous sex coach and a celebrity, publishes a controversial book. Her husband (Zdzisław Wardejn) and daughter Agnieszka (Aleksandra Hamakało) decide to rebelliously run away from home. They agree to visit Piotruś (Maciej Zakościelny) who lives a comfortable life with his wife Marlena (Katarzyna Skrzynecka) first. After that they embark on a journey into the unknown, which will lead to yet another unforgettable finale!

Band Vaaje (Punjabi)

What's the story? Band Vaaje tells the story of a matriarchal Grandmother who lives with her two grandsons Jeet and Inder in London. Jeet is married to an Indian girl whom the grandmother had chosen and now she is on a mission to find a bride for Inder. When Inder suggests that he find his own wife his grandmother makes it clear that she will only allow him to marry a girl of Indian origin and under no circumstance will she accept a Pakistani girl. Inder agrees and meets Bilkis whom he assumes is of Indian origin because she lives with the Brar family who are Indian. Inder is well aware of his grandmothers dislike for Pakistani people and will never accept this liaison so, he asks Bilkis to pretend being an Indian girl. Will Inder and Bilkis manage to keep the pretense up long enough for the grandmother to change her mind about Pakistani people and will she accept Bilkis regardless of her background?

Milan Talkies (Hindi)

What's the story? Milan Talkies is a love story set in Uttar Pradesh between an aspiring film director, Annu, and a young college going girl, Maithali, who belongs to a hardcore Panda (priest) family. Annu, with the help of his three best friends; Fattu, Mayank and Qurbaan, makes small budget films, where he gets the local town people to act. They are helped by Usman Bhai, who’s a projectionist at Milan Talkies, a single-screen theatre in the heart of the city, which is usually their main hangout place. As an additional means to make quick money, the four friends also collaborate with college professors to help weak students cheat and pass in exams in exchange of heavuy commission. Maithali is the daughter of Janardan Panda, a well respected Panda in his community. She is in her final year of college and her family desperately needs her to pass her final exams to get her married. Her uncle, Hariharan, hears about Annu selling the question papers and appraoches him. When Annu sees Maithali for the first time, he gets mesmarised by her. Then, during the final exams, Annu and his friends help the students cheat in various ways. While the exams continue, Annu and Maithali start developing feelings for each other. Since Maithali’s parents would not approve of her relationship, she and Annu meet in secret, mostly in the projector room of Milan Talkies, with the help of their friends. Meanwhile, Maithali notes down all the special moments of her relationship in her diary...
