What's the story? Based on a true story, FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY follows reformed gangster Ricky, wife Julia, daughter Paige and son Zak as they make a living wrestling together in tiny venues. When Paige and Zak get the opportunity to try out for WWE, the family grabs a once-in-a-lifetime chance to turn their wildest dreams into a dazzling future. However, brother and sister quickly discover that to become superstars, both their talent and their relationship will be put to the test. FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY is a heartwarming and smart comedy that proves everything is worth fighting for when it comes to family.

The Aftermath

What's the story? THE AFTERMATH is set in postwar Germany in 1946. Rachael Morgan (Keira Knightley) arrives in the ruins of Hamburg in the bitter winter, to be reunited with her husband Lewis (Jason Clarke), a British colonel charged with rebuilding the shattered city. But as they set off for their new home, Rachael is stunned to discover that Lewis has made an unexpected decision: They will be sharing the grand house with its previous owners, a German widower (Alexander Skarsgĺrd) and his troubled daughter. In this charged atmosphere, enmity and grief give way to passion and betrayal.

What's the story? From first-time writer/director Elizabeth Chomko, WHAT THEY HAD centers on a family in crisis. Bridget (Hilary Swank) returns home to Chicago at her brother's (Michael Shannon) urging to deal with her mother's (Blythe Danner) Alzheimer's and her father's (Robert Forster) reluctance to let go of their life together.

The Hole in the Ground (limited release)

What's the story? Trying to escape a broken past, Sarah O'Neill is rebuilding her life on the fringes of a backwood rural town with her young son Chris. Following the discovery of a mysterious sinkhole in the vast forest bordering their new home, Sarah must battle to unearth if the disturbing changes that begin to manifest in her little boy are a transformation driven by something more sinister and threatening than her own maternal fears.

Acceptable Damage plus Q&A (Sunday 3rd March)

What's the story? Katy, an Aspergic teenager dreams of becoming a rock star. Three things stand in her way. She is being harassed by a gang of ex school friends. Her mother Lucy is so keen to protect her from abuse that she restricts her freedom. Katy is unaware that her boyfriend Roxy is one of the gang. Gang leader Rabbit wants to make Katy feel as low as he has been made to feel by the world around him. When Katy sings live she feels that the future she has planned is on it's way. But when the gang break into her house and she sees Roxy with them, the situation escalates. Lucy frantically calls the police. Katy responds wildly by attacking one of them. She is arrested and taken to the police station alone. Katy wants Roxy to choose between her and Rabbit. But has his loyalty come too late?

Autism Friendly Screening: The LEGO Movie 2 (Sunday 3rd March, 11am)

What's the story? Autism Friendly screenings at Cineworld differ from regular screenings. Some of the key differences are: Lighting will be kept on during the screening. Volume levels will be reduced. There will be no advertisements or trailers. Seating will not be allocated. Customers will be allowed to bring in their own food. Screenings will be at 11am on the first Sunday of every month. For further information please ask in your local cinema.

Kobiety Mafii 2 (Polish)

What's the story? After taking the control over the capital, Nanny's gang (Agnieszka Dygant) is preparing for the biggest smuggling action in the history of Poland. The Warsaw terrorist group brings a ton of Colombian cocaine to the country. When the goods disappear under the suspicious circumstances, and the cartel demands heads, dangerous Aida (Angie Cepeda) is sent to Poland. Colombian finds an ally in the person of a Tri-city smuggler - Mata (Piotr Adamczyk). Mafioso wanted to strengthen his position in the underworld for a long time, but his plans get complicated because of the tense relationship with the rebellious daughter - Stella (Aleksandra Grabowska). At the same time, Swollen Anka (Katarzyna Warnke) gets out of jail. Loving luxurious live and being a manic shopaholic, she barely survived prison hell, after which he hardly finds herself in a new reality. After an unexpected event she is being targeted by nationwide media and suddenly becomes a 'mafia celebrity'. Concurrent, in Morocco, Siekiera (Aleksandra Popławska) is experiencing a turbulent affair with Amir (Otar Saralidze) - a fighter of the Islamic state. When a man dies in a daring action with the involvement of GROM commandos, the killer returns to Poland to take the revenge. She has a deadly plan to fulfill.

Luka Chuppi (Hindi)

What's the story? Luka Chuppi is a Comedy of errors, set in the small town of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. The story revolves around two lovers, Vinod Shukla and Rashmi Trivedi. Vinod works as a journalist for a small cable TV channel in Mathura and Rashmi has come to Mathura after completing her post-graduate qualification in Mass Media from Delhi. Soon Vinod and Rashmi fall in love during the making of a news report. But instead of getting married, they decide to live together in secret. Their friend Abbas helps them in every possible way. Vinod and Rashmi travel to Agra for few days to try this exciting institution. After living-in for 15-20 days, Rashmi sees that Vinod is the best guy for her. They decide to go back to Mathura and tell their parents that they want to marry but before they could leave Agra, their small town conservative families interrupt. The families think that they ran away and got married but Vinod and Rashmi do not have the courage to tell them that they are actually just living together. The families accept them and the post-wedding traditions begin in Mathura. Rashmi arrives in Vinod's house as his wife, it is an extremely weird situation for both of them as the world think they are married but they are not. Slowly this Guilt of being single and treated like a married couple takes them over, now Vinod and Rashmi want to tie the knot but they have to do it secretly. Here the most unique and hilarious situations of the film transpire, depicting the conventional chaos of the Indian culture and family system. A journey that promises many twists, turns and surprises, with various interesting characters that belong to the fascinating small town world of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

What's the story? 90ML is an upcoming Indian Tamil Comedy Drama movie written, directed and produced by Anita Udeep. The film stars Oviya in the lead role, while Anson Paul, Nithin Sathya, RJ Balaji, Vijay Vasanth, Aravind Akash, Yogi Babu portray the supporting roles. Music is composed by Silambarasan.

Ring – 4K restoration (Japanese with English subtitles) (Friday 1st March, 8pm)

What's the story? A group of teenage friends are found dead, their bodies grotesquely contorted, their faces twisted in terror. Reiko (Nanako Matsushima, When Marnie Was There), a journalist and the aunt of one of the victims, sets out to investigate the shocking phenomenon, and in the process uncovers a creepy urban legend about a supposedly cursed videotape, the contents of which causes anyone who views it to die within a week – unless they can persuade someone else to watch it, and, in so doing, pass on the curse...

What's the story? 

Last year was a sensational year for screen-filling popcorn blockbusters, and we're celebrating with the return of the Cinewold IMAX Film Fest. Five of 2018's biggest movies come roaring back to the big screen on Saturday 2nd March at Cineworld cinemas around the country.

Bite-sized Northern Ballets: Elves and the Shoemaker (Saturday 2nd March, 2pm)

What's the story? Northern Ballet's Elves & the Shoemaker stomps onto the big screen as part of our fantastic season of interactive ballets for children, narrated by Anita Rani. A hard-working shoemaker struggles to support his family. But when he sees a poor lady in need of help, he gives her his final pair of shoes. The next morning he awakes to find that his last piece of leather has been transformed into the most magnificent pair of magical shoes. But who has mysteriously made them? With playful characters and spellbinding music, this adorable ballet is sure to have your little ones dancing with excitement!

MET Opera: Le Fille Du Regiment (Saturday 2nd March, 5.55pm)

What's the story? Full of wit and invention, Donizetti's comic opera is a delight. The famous aria 'Ah, Mes Amis', with its nine high Cs, is one of opera's most show-stopping numbers. Bel canto stars Pretty Yende and Javier Camarena take on the challenging vocal fireworks in Laurent Pelly's hilarious staging. Orphaned as a small child and raised by an entire army regiment, the spirited Marie has grown up as the regiment's 'daughter', raising morale and spreading joy. Tonio, a local man, falls in love with her and even joins the army for her sake. But a chance encounter with a noblewoman sparks a sudden revelation, and a tale unfolds of secret identities, long-lost family, and murky pasts.

Alien – 40th anniversary screening (Saturday 2nd & Tuesday 5th March, 8pm)

What's the story? In a remote region of the galaxy, the United States space tug, Nostromo, carrying a cargo of mineral ore, makes its return journey to Earth. The ship's crew - five men, two women and a cat - are awakened from their hypersleep chambers when Mother, the on-board computer, monitors a strange transmission. According to Company law, the crew must investigate any signal indicating possible intelligent life. What begins as a routine search mission quickly escalates into a nightmare of unimaginable terror when the crew discovers and brings aboard an extra-terrestrial life form.
