Avengers: Endgame trailer is now the most-viewed of all time
Following weeks of speculation, the trailer for Avengers 4, now officially titled Endgame, blasted online on Thursday. Picking up after the devastation of Infinity War, in which the evil Thanos (Josh Brolin) laid waste to 50% of all life in the universe, Endgame continues on what looks like a far bleaker note.
With Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) stranded in space, rapidly running out of oxygen and food, and Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) facing his wits end back on Earth, times have never been more desperate for our Avengers.
It's therefore little surprise that levels of anticipation are reaching ear-splitting proportions, and our first official taste of that comes in the sheer amount of trailer views. Variety reports the Avengers: Endgame trailer has officially become the most-viewed of all time, amassing a gargantuan 289 million in 24 hours, obliterating the record previously set by Avengers: Infinity War, which amassed 230 million in the same period.
It continues a hat-trick of trailer successes for Disney – lagging just behind Endgame and Infinity War is the trailer for the studio's The Lion King remake, which took 224.6 million views in 24 hours. The movie is released on 19th July 2019.

New Spider-Man suit revealed during Far From Home trailer debut
So as it turns out, we didn't get our first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home on Saturday. Rumours are now swirling as to when we will see it (18th December has been proposed in some quarters) – but the teaser did preview for a select audience in Brazil.
Stars Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal (who plays villain Mysterio) made surprise appearances at Brazil's Comic Con Experience over the weekend. Descriptions of what occurs in the trailer have surfaced online – IGN reports the trailer makes some alterations to the Spider-Man/Mysterio rivalry from the comics, the footage culminating in a team-up in Venice as the two characters battle another character named Hydro-Man.
However, one thing that did emerge online was a brand new Spider-Man Stealth Suit courtesy of Twitter user @DanielRPK. It remains to be seen how the suit will be deployed in the movie but it's certainly attention-grabbing. (It's also the second such Spidey suit revealed this month – Nicolas Cage voices Spider-Noir in upcoming animation Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, released on 12th December.)
Spider-Man: Far From Home sends Tom Holland's Peter Parker on an adventure to Europe. Co-starring Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Michael Keaton (The Vulture), Zendaya (Michelle), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Angourie Rice (Betty Brant), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), Martin Starr (Mr. Harrington), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), the movie reaches us on 5th July 2019. Keep an eye out for the breakdown of the first trailer.
Bumblebee acclaimed as best Transformers movie in the franchise
It's safe to say the Transformers movies as directed by Michael Bay haven't invited critical plaudits. In spite of the franchise's enormous blockbuster success, many critics and viewers have found the individual movies aggressive and somewhat leering in their tone – so new movie Bumblebee appears to be a pleasant, and much-need, change of pace.
Bay has now given way to Kubo and the Two Strings filmmaker Travis Knight for a Bumblebee origin story, set in 1987 and starring Hailee Steinfeld as a young woman who bonds with the fugitive Autobot. Expressly drawing on the innocent, wide-eyed tone of the films of Steven Spielberg (who executive produces), the new Transfomers movie has generated the best reviews of any movie in the series.
"Bumblebee is basically the movie that fans of the 1980s animated series wanted all along," writes Peter Debruge in Variety, while The Hollywood Reporter's Justin Lowe praises the movie as an "effective re-imagining" full of "knowing innocence".
