A blind boy falls in love for the first time in this sweetly romantic coming-of-age tale. Sao Paulo teenagers Leonardo (Ghilherme Lobo) and Giovana (Tess Amorim) are best friends. Leonardo has been blind since birth, but that doesn't stop him yearning for independence and first love, like any other teenager. Enter Gabriel (Fabio Audi), a tousle-haired new boy in school. He quickly bonds with Leonardo, while Giovana is secretly attracted to both boys. They drift along as a happy threesome for a while, but tensions soon begin to intrude. Writer/director Daniel Ribeiro's acutely observed and hugely likeable tale of sexual awakening is expanded from his own award-winning short film 'I Don't Want to Go Back Alone'. It also reunites that film's three lead actors, playing slightly older versions of the main characters. Refreshingly, Leonardo's sexuality is depicted as being less of an obstacle for him than his parents' over-protectiveness.
