Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence star in a quirky, poignant comedy about two damaged people rebuilding their lives. Former schoolteacher Pat Solitano (Bradley Cooper) is released from a state psychiatric institution into the care of his mother (Jacki Weaver) and father (Robert DeNiro). Despite having lost his house, his job and his wife, optimistic Pat remains determined to seek silver linings. But reuniting with his wife proves a challenge, especially as she's filed a restraining order against him. Then he meets the mysterious Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), a young widow who's just as volatile and medicated as himself. She agrees to help blunt and tactless Pat rebuild his marriage, but has an odd favour to ask in return. Based on the bestselling novel by Matthew Quick, this heartfelt romantic comedy from 'Flirting with Disaster' and 'The Fighter' director David O. Russell gets brilliant performances from a powerhouse cast.
