Nayantara stars in a spine-tingling Tamil Supernatural thriller This horror-thriller from first-time writer/director Ashwin Saravanan also represents something of a first for its female star. South Indian actress Nayantara made her debut in the 2003 Malayalam film Manassinkkare before venturing into Telugu and Tamil cinema. In 2013, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress for her performance in Raja Rani. But she's never appeared in a horror film until now. And this is a rare entry in the genre with a strong female lead role. Nayantara is cast as a young mother named Maya Matthews, and the story reportedly centres on her relationship with her child. Aari is the male lead, having been cast after the filmmakers were impressed with his performance in the 2014 romantic crime drama Nedunchaalai. Music is by Ron Ethan Yohaan.
