Three young Arab-Israeli women share a flat in the vibrant centre of Tel Aviv in first-time director Maysaloun Hamoud’s groundbreaking film In Between. Finding themselves caught between two cultures – but not feeling fully accepted into either – the three friends try to find a way to enjoy the freedom that Tel Aviv offers them without having to turn their backs to their more conservative families, and tradition. A unique and fresh portrayal of the lives of secular Palestinians in Israel today, and the enduring power of female friendship.
