His distinctive approach to crafting perfect pop songs is showcased in this revealing new documentary from Ethan Silverman, who was also involved in the 2020 tribute album of the same name. Featuring a cornucopia of archive footage and interviews with relations friends and celebrity fans including U2, Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Ringo Starr, Nick Cave and Sir Elton John, it traces Bolan’s eventful life from his teenage years through to his tragic death at the age of 29.
