Cedric Klapisch's breezy comedy charts a fortysomething Frenchman's romantic entanglements in New York. After their break-up, Xavier (Romain Duris) follows Wendy (Kelly Reilly) to New York to be closer to the couple's two young children. At first he moves in with his lesbian friend Isabelle (Cecile De France), whose child he's just fathered. As if that wasn't complicated enough, old flame Martine (Audrey Tautou) pays a visit, and Xavier marries a Chinese-American woman in order to stay in the country! French auteur Cedric Klapisch launched this delightful relationship saga with 2002's 'Pot Luck', which observed the student adventures of Xavier and his international friends. Following 2005's 'Russian Dolls', this third film finds them older but not necessarily wiser. It takes an acute outsider's look at New York and bristles with Klapisch's trademark visual inventiveness.
