5 reasons why Wonder Woman should be the leader of the Justice League

screen-poster

The Justice League needs a strong leader, right? Somebody who is able to guide them and ensure they stick together as a team. Batman or Superman might be the obvious choices, but last year’s release proved they might not be the best for the job.

And this, combined with the release of DC’s most recent film has led us to a new star candidate… Wonder Woman! Not convinced? Don’t worry, we’ve come up with five reasons why our favourite Amazonian princess (as brilliantly played by Gal Gadot) is capable of leading the DC super-team.

Warning... spoilers for Wonder Woman ahead!

She's willing to fight for what's right

Diana has proven the extreme lengths she will go to in order to stand up for what she believes is right. No Man's Land, anyone? This is exactly the kind of determination that the Justice League needs in a leader - someone who won’t back down when things seem challenging.

In a very short period of time, Diana was able to get Steve and the others supporting her cause, and we have no doubt her beliefs are just as powerful now. If anything, even stronger.

She sees the good in everybody

The war team assembled by Steve (Chris Pine) might not have seemed convincing at first, but Diana quickly learned how to play into their strengths. When Charlie believed they would be better off without him, she was quick to remind him of the joy that he brought to their little group.

With the Justice League, we’re sure that Diana will be a welcoming presence, eager to help the recruits get a handle of their abilities, and do everything they can to ensure the safety of everyone.

She's even stronger than she knows

During training, General Antiope (Robin Wright) warned Diana that she continued to doubt herself, and her own abilities. At first, it seemed that this would hold her back, but as Diana began to learn more about herself, and the world, she found a strength inside that she never knew existed.

In the time between Wonder Woman and Justice League, we’re confident that her abilities will only have grown stronger, making an enemy no match for her skills. With someone as naturally gifted as Diana on your side, who wouldn’t want to make her the face of their team?

She knows her own mind

Throughout the entirety of Wonder Woman, Diana continued to hold on to her beliefs, even when those closest to her doubted them. The Justice League needs a leader who will remain on task, and won’t become doubtful of their choices and possible outcomes. And who better than somebody who single handedly defeated a god?

Steve helped Diana to understand the importance in standing up for what you believe in, something that every leader should aspire to share, and something we’re sure that Diana will continue to hold with her today. "It's not about deserve. It's about what you believe. And I believe in love."

Her star power only continues to rise...

With Wonder Woman continuing to smash box office records, it would be crazy for DC not to capitalise on her success. Obviously, we’re not calling for a complete rewrite of the script at this short notice, but it would be nice if DC recognised the potential in advance and prepared for Diana to have a significant role within the Justice League.

Following the news that both Robin Wright’s Antiope and Connie Nielsen’s Hippolyta are set to appear in Justice League, could it be possible that our wishes have been granted?
