It's Spider-Man but not as we we know it when Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swings into Cineworld this December. And we've got the brand new poster right here.
Banish all thoughts of the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield movies, and put to one side any notion of Tom Holland's wall-crawler who dwells within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This is a standalone animated adventure that delves headlong into the Spider-Man 'multiverse' where different versions of the Spidey character cross paths to spectacular effect.
Chief among them is African-American teenager Miles Morales (voiced by The Get Down star Shameik Moore), who made his comic book debut in 2011 and helped champion greater diversity within the medium. Schooled in the art of web-slinging by a Peter Parker from another dimension (Jake Johnson), Morales then bumps into a host of alternate Spider-Man characters who must help him save the world.
But, as per Peter's advice in the following sneak peek, "it's not about saving the world, but about saving one person". Check out the brand new footage that includes fresh glimpses at Gwen Stacey/Spider-Woman (Hailee Steinfeld), Spider-Man Noir (Nicolas Cage), Spider-Ham (John Mulaney) and Peni Parker (Kimiko Glenn).
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse previews on 8th and 9th December before ensnaring us all on 12th December.
