There are moments in human history that are scorched onto our memories, and the sight of astronaut Neil Armstrong walking on the moon is one of them.
The American became the first human being to walk on the lunar surface back in 1969, a monumental event that gave rise to the famous quote: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
New movie First Man now delves into the remarkable true story behind the grainy footage that was piped into homes around the world. La La Land director Damien Chazelle reunites with star Ryan Gosling, playing Armstrong, for an intimate look at the human cost of the expedition into our solar system.
The new trailer reveals fresh snippets from the movie, which opened the Venice Film Festival and has recently drawn acclaim at the Toronto Film Festival. The Crown's Claire Foy stars as Armstrong's dedicated wife Janet, and Chazelle collaborates with several of his La La Land team members, including cinematographer Linus Sandgren and composer Justin Hurwitz.
The movie is drawing serious Oscar buzz (all the more-so given La La Land's infamous snub during the 2017 Best Picture mix-up with Moonlight), and the trailer is ready for you to watch below. First Man is released on 12th October.
