A new trailer is with us.
Just as expected, the opening of the 2019 Star Wars Celebration in Chicago included THE big name drop and a first look at the third and final instalment of the sequel trilogy.
It's official titled Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Carrie Fisher will appear as General Leia through unused footage from Force Awakens. Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Dominic Monaghan, Matt Smith and Keri Russell are among the new faces in the cast.
The Rise of Skywalker brings back Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren and Oscar Isaac as Poe. Mark Hamill will also return as Luke Skywalker (something we're also curious about, given the events of The Last Jedi), along with original trilogy veterans Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian and Anthony Daniels as C-3PO.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits cinemas on 19th December 2019. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think on Twitter @Cineworld.
And as the trailer makes clear, we can expect one significant old villain to re-appear...
