Thor: Ragnarok has got a lot going for it, not least a wonderful director (Hunt for the Wilderpeople's Taika Waititi), bromantic central duo (Chris Hemsworth's Thor and Mark Ruffalo's Hulk) and an outstanding supporting cast (Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum et al).
And now we can throw another magical element into the mix in the form of Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange. The all-knowing Sorceror Supreme appears in the latest international trailer for Ragnarok, informing our title character "I sense a great change in your future,” before warning, "Destiny has dire plans for you, my friend."
That sounds suitably portentous, and delivered in the sort of richly hifalutin language that the God of Thunder would no doubt appreciate. Let's face it, if any of the Avengers are going to be on broadly the same page, it's these two. (Good thing as well: they're part of the ensemble in next year's Avengers: Infinity War and its follow-up.)
But it's not all about Stephen: the new Japanese promo features a lot of Asgardian warrior Valkyrie (played by Creed actress Tessa Thompson), Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and more action for raging, not-so-jolly green giant Hulk. Check out the trailer below.
Thor: Ragnarok is released on 27th October.
