New Last Jedi teaser sees Luke Skywalker back aboard the Millennium Falcon

screen-poster

We know what you're thinking: surely there's no more Last Jedi footage to be revealed? Well this new teaser proves you wrong, kinda, with some brief new snippets that add more intrigue to Rian Johnson's Star Wars extravaganza.

What really gets the attention is the sight of a hooded, haunted Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) back in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon for the first time in three decades. It's also intriguing to note the overlay of Kylo Ren's (Adam Driver) voiceover at that moment: is it a coincidence that the shot of Luke coincides with former apprentice Ren's desire to obliterate his past? And are we to assume that an epic conflict between the two is incoming?

Meanwhile we get more glimpses of Rey (Daisy Ridley) grappling with her burgeoning Jedi powers and a back-in-action Finn (John Boyega), who until now has been largely absent from the trailers, shooting down First Order fighters with more than a touch of glee. And that final shot of a rain-soaked Rey holding up her lightsaber seems to anticipate something truly dark and dreadful – serious chills ensue. Watch the trailer below.
