The Conjuring 2 has barely reached Cineworld screens yet but we're already getting ready for its spin-off movie involving the film's terrifying nun character.
James Wan's sequel to his smash-hit ghostly chiller unleashes a host of horrifying spooks upon an unsuspecting London family, one of whom is a ghoulish presence in a nun's outfit. (We're having nun of it. Sorry.)
Played by Bonnie Aarons, the demonic figure is now set to get her spin-off movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Titled, appropriately enough, The Nun, it's set to be produced by Wan and his regular collaborator Peter Safran.
This isn't the first time a Wan property has yielded its own spin-off: creepy doll Annabelle, first spied in The Conjuring, became the malevolent star of her own self-titled movie in 2014.
Fun fact: when it came to The Conjuring 2, director Wan originally envisaged a chilling figure with horns for the movie but changed it into the aforementioned nun at the last minute. The end result looks suitably terrifying, as we'd expect from one of our finest purveyors of leap-out-of-your-seat shocks.
What do you think: will you be getting into the habit of watching all these chilling horrors? (Seriously, we'll stop now). If you dare, click here to book your tickets for The Conjuring 2 and let us know @Cineworld.
