Lucky Unlimited members got to watch Liam Neeson thriller The Commuter in advance last night, and the reactions are in.
Neeson plays a man drawn into a deadly fight for survival aboard a New York commuter train in this latest onslaught from Non-Stop director Jaume Collet-Serra. We'll start with this from Amanda.
Really enjoyed that, typical #LiamNeeson action movie where he needs to use his particular skills— Amanda Hughes (@AmandaJ_Hughes) January 15, 2018
Sir Daniel Mumford meanwhile says it delivers everything a Neeson fan could possibly want.
Dave says it's the ideal antidote for a dreary, wet January.
It wouldn't win any prizes for originality, but as a pure popcorn movie it was very enjoyable.— Dave Billingsley (@dab051176) January 15, 2018
Emma meanwhile says Neeson, in his advancing years, is something of a miracle.
Enjoyed it. Lots of action and interesting plot. But Liam Neeson did get punched soooo much, you wonder how he got back up so many times!— Emma (@emmalouise9292) January 15, 2018
Negatives? Rich says that Neeson's presence is perhaps more robust than the script.
It's Liam Neeson being Liam Neeson. #TakentheTrain. You can drive a train through the plot holes, but it rattles along a good pace delivering an enjoyable film. Don't expect to be challenged, but you'll have some fun.— Rich Nicholls (@RichN95) January 16, 2018
And Dan says there's a certain scene-stealer who deserved more screen time.
Just got home from seeing #TakenOnATrain. Decent enough mindless action flick but can't help but feel like we've seen it all before. Definitely needed more of the excellent @VeraFarmiga onscreen imo #TheCommuter #CineworldUnlimited— Dan Smith (@dannyrage83) January 15, 2018
