When George Clooney promises that his next directorial outing is "very dark", you'd better believe it.
The film in question is Suburbicon, a pitch black implosion of the 1950s American dream starring Matt Damon, Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac.
Based on a script that the Oscar-winning Coen brothers wrote in the early stages of their career, the movie casts Damon as a family man beset by all manner of violence, chaos and mobsters in his dull American suburb.
Trust us when we say the movie looks utterly insane – in the best possible way of course. And with that cast, that director and those screenwriters, how could it not work? The movie is released on 24th November.
