There's been a disturbance in the Force – a positive one, mind you. That's because some seriously stunning Star Wars: The Last Jedi covers have made their Vanity Fair debut, courtesy of photographer Annie Liebovitz.
It's to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars, kicking off tomorrow, and features among others an appropriately regal Carrie Fisher as Leia (in what will be her final movie). We also get a look at Kylo Ren's (Adam Driver) nasty-looking scar resulting from his battle with Rey (Daisy Ridley) in The Force Awakens.
And talking of which, our heroine takes centre-stage alongside a brooding Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), the series icon whose presence is the crux of the plot (and indeed many of the questions we want answered).
Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson), a helmet-less Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), droid BB-8 and new Rebel character Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) also make a strong impression. Scroll down and gasp in awe.
Not enough for you? Well there's more. Check out this behind the scenes video teasing footage from the set and tantalising interview snippets with director Rian Johnson and other key personnel.
